What we store without asking

The quiz keeps your answers in local storage under the key your-calling-compass.v1. That is not a cookie, and it stays on your device until you clear it. The anonymous id inside it is how the server file is named. Session storage is not used.

The choice you make in the banner

Accept and Reject are both one tap. The choice is saved as your-calling-compass.consent. Reject leaves Google’s scripts unloaded. Accept allows the scripts below, and only if the matching environment variable is set on the server. With no id configured, accepting still loads nothing from Google.

If you accept

• Google Analytics 4, when NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_MEASUREMENT_ID is set, uses cookies such as _ga to tell a new visit from a returning browser.
• Google AdSense, when NEXT_PUBLIC_ADSENSE_CLIENT is set, may use cookies to measure ads and limit how often you see one. The publisher line in ads.txt matches ADSENSE_PUBLISHER_ID.

Google’s own pages describe those cookies. We do not run a second ad network. There is no ads.txt reseller line beyond the single Google direct entry.

How to change your mind

Clear site data for yourcallingcompass.com, or remove the consent key in your browser’s storage inspector, and reload. The banner returns. You can also write to hello@yourcallingcompass.com. The fuller account of retention is in the privacy policy.
