Place
Small towns
A place where your errands have witnesses. That can be a kindness or a pressure.
They cluster with community organizing, local history, and the sports grounds at the edge.
People who choose them often want work that is visible to the people it affects.
On an Interest Map, the line we most often letter beside small towns reads “errands with witnesses.” It tends to meet community organizing, history, and football.
Work that shares the table
A book that keeps it company
Wanderlust, Rebecca Solnit. Read it beside small towns: Walking as a way people have thought, traveled, and disagreed.
